The Rouxful Gourmet has a variety of cookies, quick breads, brownies and confections that are different from the usual packaged cookies sold in grocery stores or even those sold at bakeries. All our products are made with unsalted butter, cane sugar, unbleached flour, natural flavorings, non-aluminum baking powder and contain no preservatives, fillers or trans fats. We try to use organic materials whenever possible and have a variety of specialty products for people who require low gluten or low sugar treats.
Rouxful Gourmet also tries to accommodate special dietary needs. We make a version of our best selling Lemon Butter Buttons with brown rice flour for people who can’t tolerate gluten. We don’t guarantee that our products are absolutely gluten-free, but no gluten is included in the recipe and only an incidental trace amount of gluten may be present from utensils and baking pans that have been used for flour-based recipes. We also make a low gluten peanut butter cookie that is made without flour of any kind, however it does contain eggs. For people who must restrict their sugar intake, we have a no fat, no egg, Splenda-sweetened applesauce spice cake, chocolate chip cookies made with Splenda and sugar-free chocolate chips, and an oatmeal cookie sweetened with applesauce and Splenda.
Rouxful Gourmet makes literally dozens of cookie flavors and types. If you have a favorite recipe and either can’t or don’t have time to bake whatever you are craving, just give us the recipe and we’ll make it for you. Special orders require 48 hours notice, but if your yen is for snickerdoodles, molasses snaps, pecan tassies, or some other gooey confection, just give us a call and a recipe and 48 hours later, you can have what you are craving!
