

Almond Poppy Seed Bread
This recipe came to us from my sister, who got it from a Master Chef in the military. He made this bread for literally thousands of soldiers throughout his career and it is a “keeper”. This rich bread uses sunflower oil and lots of almond and vanilla flavoring with an abundance of poppy seeds. Slices of this bread can be used for strawberry shortcake with whipped cream, yoghurt or ice cream or just enjoyed with a good cup of coffee on any morning.
